When you think of the Red Centre, you think sweltering temperatures. You’ll be pleased to know that Uluru gets four distinct seasons and there’s plenty of relief from the heat when the sun goes down.

In fact, the weather can get quite cold when the sun goes down with temperatures dropping to 5.1˚C during the winter.

When you visit the conference, you can expect the finest weather that Uluru has to offer. That means warm, sunny days and comfortable, cloudless nights where the full expanse of the Milky Way will be on full show.

The local Indigenous people celebrate five seasons, the conference will take place during Piriyakutu, which is known as the season when animals breed and food plants flower. The season is characterised by a warm steady wind from the north and west. It is traditionally kangaroo season and it is the time for hibernating reptiles to move back into the world again.

Ayres Rock Resort is perfectly designed for any weather. Whether you’re relaxing in your room, sampling one of the bars and restaurants or attending a conference event you’ll always be in complete comfort.
